Meet the Staff
Amanda Anderson, CMA, NCPT
Office Manager
You could say that Amanda Anderson is the “glue” that holds Birmingham FootCare Specialists together. She joined our practice in 2013 as a Medical Assistant after graduating from the Dorsey Schools program. She was promoted to Office Manager in 2015. Amanda is a nationally-certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and a nationally-certified Phlebotomy Technician (NCPT). She also became a notary public in 2016. Married with two sons, Amanda enjoys gardening, canning veggies, cooking and baking.
Lisa Dunlap, CMA
Medical Assistant
Lisa became interested in a career in medicine when she was 14 years old and volunteering at a local hospital during the summers. After high school, she completed a Nursing Assistant course and worked as a Nursing Assistant at a nursing home for three years. After taking time off to stay home with her three children, she returned to her career, graduating from the Dorsey Schools Medical Assistant program. After completing a six-week internship program through Birmingham Foot Care Specialists under Dr. Peter Schaffer, she was offered a part-time position, and a short time later, a full-time spot on our team.
